Footnotes
THORSNESS moved up to press the pace on the outside, took the lead in the three path on the turn, was asked for his best in upper stretch, shook clear inside the furlong marker and proved best under a strong hand-ride late. WHITBY bumped with a rival at the start, tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn, pursued the winner in the stretch and finished willingly for the place. RAGING SEA CAPTAIN moved up while hustled then was well placed, chased in the two path on the turn, pursued the winner under a drive in the stretch, kept on into the final sixteenth and also finished willingly but missed the place while able to get the show. RED MILLER bumped with a rival at the start, settled outside under some urging, was ridden along in the three then four path on the turn, tipped out to the five path after turning into the stretch, remained on his inside lead until outside the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead and lacked the needed response. SALMING showed speed then set the pace on the inside of a rival, vied along the rail while headed on the turn, battled with the winner under a drive into the final furlong and weakened. NOGUCHI dropped back towards the rear, moved in around the five-eighths pole, saved ground on the turn and failed to rally. DAYTONA MOONSHINE was urged along off the pace, dropped back with six furlongs to run, went around the turn in the four path, was driven into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. FISCAL DRAG bumped with foes on both sides at the start then dropped back, angled in at the rear entering the main-track then was urged at the back, rounded the turn in the two path and was no factor.
