JACKIE THE JOKER showed speed then sped clear before opening up a sizable advantage, went around the turn in the two path, was put to a drive in upper stretch, came under a left-handed crop outside the furlong marker, responded bravely to the challenge of the runner-up in the final sixteenth and held gamely under strong urging. BABY SASSICAIA was hustled from the gate, chased the solo leader from second, traveled around the turn in the three path, gained in the four path into the stretch, chased the winner outside into the final furlong, drifted in near the sixteenth-pole then made a bid, battled outside of the winner to the finish and was denied while clear for the place. CURLIN'S MAGIC was urged along off the pace, dropped from the two path to the inside on the turn, spun into the stretch in the two path and earned the show while no match for the top two. MY FIRST LOVE was urged along off the pace, rounded the turn in the four path and came up empty. LUNA MOTH was hustled from the gate, dropped back while urged along, moved from the three path to the two path on the turn and lacked the needed response. WHISTLER'S STYLE dropped well behind while showing no speed, moved from the three path to the five path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the six path and failed to rally. FLOGE broke a step slow, moved out early then was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the five then four path, came into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. TROUBLED LUCK was urged along off the pace, dropped back leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn and was no factor. BROOKLYN DANTZ dropped back while urged along, went around the turn in the two then three path and failed to respond.
