GHOST ARMY stalked the pace on the outside, chased in the three path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path, pursued the runner-up into the final furlong, gained to make a bid coming to the sixteenth-pole and got up to prevail. MR R T pressed the pace on the outside, drew even with the leader in the two path midway through the turn, gained the advantage inside the five-sixteenths pole, inched away under a left-handed crop while remaining on his inside lead in upper stretch, led while drifting out into the final sixteenth but was caught then continuing on his inside lead to the finish while clear for the place. CHESS MATCH settled well off the pace, was urged along in the four path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and improved for the show. DIXIE HEX showed speed then set the pace, vied inside on the turn, was headed inside the five-sixteenths pole, chased under a drive in upper stretch and tired. DARE DEFYING stumbled badly at the start, settled at the rear under some urging, saved ground on the turn and failed to threaten. RESTLESS RENEGADE climbed some early then was well placed, raced under urging late on the backstretch, chased in the two path on the turn and came up empty. BOURBON HANGOVER leaned out and brushed the gate, was urged along on the outside, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, turned into the stretch in the five path, remained on his inside lead until inside the three-sixteenths pole then swapped to the proper lead and failed to respond.
