Footnotes
VOODOO DOLL broke inwards brushing the near side stall at the start, showed the way in hand along the inside through the first turn and then just off the inside down the backstretch settled into a comfortable rhythm through sensible splits, tucked inside through the far turn and was patiently handled until set down taking the inside route into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was bumped by WOODS into the infield chute gap just outside the eighth pole, extracted himself from the chute and dug in gamely to fend off a trio to the finish. WOODS raced just off the inside through the first turn, attended the leader while four then three paths off the rail down the backstretch, tucked to the two path through the far turn and came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in head to head and came inwards despite a left handed crop bumping VOODOO DOLL into the infield chute gap just outside the eighth pole, dug in fighting on gamely to the finish but was ultimately denied on the line. PRINT tracked the pace along the inside from near the rear of the field coming under coaxing nearing the quarter pole, spun two to three wide into upper stretch before tipping to the four path with three-sixteenths to go, kicked on belatedly to the finish but missed at the end. CAPITAL PARTNER (GB) tossed his head rank early on along the inside under the restraint of the rider, tracked the front just off the inside and then along the inside and got set down spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, tipped out to the three path three-sixteenths from home and offered up a mild kick but was outfinished in the late stages. MADAGASCAR brushed the near side stall at the start, chased three then two wide under coaxing from three furlongs out, went three wide into upper stretch before tipping out to the five path with three-sixteenths remaining, then weakened in the late going. CHAYTON chased along the inside and then just off the inside under coaxing from the seven-sixteenths marker, spun three wide into upper stretch, made no impact. TARTABULL three then four wide through the first turn, chased five then four paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking three wide through the far turn, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths pole, angled five wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages.
