Footnotes
GRAND COMMANDER bumped with foes at the start then was squeezed some, raced inside of a foe under urging, moved closer outside the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the two path under strong urging, pursued the runner-up under a drive into the final furlong, gained to take the lead at the sixteenth-pole and proved best under strong handling. LUCAS'S MISCHIEF broke out and bumped with a rival, went to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, extended the advantage while asked along the rail on the turn, led under a drive while remaining on his inside lead into the final furlong, drifted out while still on the inside lead coming to the sixteenth-pole and was overtaken by the winner while able to get the place. AIRBORNE ELITE was urged along on the outside, moved closer outside the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the three path while dropping much further behind the leader, turned into upper stretch under a drive, remained on his inside lead until outside the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead and kept on willingly to get the show. DREAMS OF MYFATHER made some contact with an opponent at the start, chased the early pace then dropped back, saved ground on the turn, angled out outside the furlong marker and gained to just miss the show. NATURAL HUNK was urged along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the three path and failed to threaten. DAYTONA MOONSHINE dropped well behind the rest of the field, saved ground on the turn and was no factor while finishing with some late interest. SUPERPOWER brushed the inside of the gate at the start, was urged along off the pace, moved from the rail to the two path early on the turn and lacked the needed response.
