METATRON'S MUSE broke in at the start under coaxing, chased along the inside coming under coaxing near the quarter pole before being set down spinning three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive leaning out slightly against and brushing EXPENSIVE CUT from just inside the three-sixteenths marker to near the sixteenth pole when gaining a clear lane away from the leader, seized command seventy yards from the finish, then dug in to fend off EXPENSIVE CUT to the wire. EXPENSIVE CUT chased two to three wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths pole, angled four wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive and was lightly leaned on and brushed from inside the three-sixteenths to near the sixteenth marker when trying to keep the aforementioned foe in behind the leader, dug in head to head and missed on the wire. SAGAMORE MISCHIEF coaxed from the gate, cut the pace from the two path under pressure to the outside from FIRST TRUMPET, tucked inside through the turn and came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive under threat from a pair, got caught inside the sixteenth pole and was along well clear of the rest for the show honors. LAUGHING BOY coaxed from the gate, chased two to three wide under a ride from three furlongs out, angled six wide into upper stretch, weakened. CENTAVO chased five then four wide under urging from the seven-sixteenths pole, angled out eight wide into upper stretch, tired. FIRST TRUMPET a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, prompted the leader from the outside three then two wide coming under urging three furlongs out, angled four to five wide into upper stretch, tired.
