BLUE PILL saved ground at the tail of the field through the opening half mile, remained along the inside into the far turn and came under encouragement with five-sixteenths remaining, angled five to six wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive rallying through the final furlong along the outside, had SICILIAN DANCER come out under a left handed crop inside the final seventy yards, got bumped solidly by that rival forty yards from the finish and was up in the final jumps to prevail. SICILIAN DANCER raced along the inside through the first turn just off the pace, tracked the front two to three wide down the backstretch and through the far turn coming under coaxing near the quarter pole before being roused spinning four wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive issuing a challenge inside the final furlong, seized command a sixteenth out, came out under a left handed crop to look his main danger in the eye seventy yards from the finish, bumped that rival solidly forty yards from home, then got nailed in the last strides to the wire. MANOR PARK went three then four wide through the first turn, chased three then two wide coming under a ride at the five-sixteenths marker, spun three wide into upper stretch, ran on to secure the show honors. NONNO JOE settled just off the inside near the rear of the field, came under encouragement three furlongs out, spun three wide into upper stretch and offered up late foot to close in belatedly to the line. FOTO established the front and showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught a sixteenth from home, then weakened in the late stages. VITALIZE grew a bit rank under restraint along the inside behind the leader into the first turn, chased along the inside patiently handled until let out spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, then weakened in the late going. ROYAL ASCENDSHIN just off the inside through the first turn, chased three to four wide under urging from three furlongs out, angled five wide into upper stretch, tired. DEACON BLUES raced forwardly placed two to three wide through the first turn, began to retreat midway down the backstretch with nine-sixteenths to go, went just off the inside through the far turn and then three to four wide for home, then folded in the stretch.
