Footnotes
INTO THE LIGHT tracked the pace on the outside, ranged up in the three path to make a bid midway through the turn, was asked in the two path later on that bend, took the lead in upper stretch, drifted out under a left-handed crop in the final furlong and held under strong urging. ASKED AND ANSWERED settled on the outside, was ridden along late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the three then four path, rallied outside to make a bid into the final furlong, fought outside of two foes while carried out some to the finish and missed while narrowly able to get the place. MO THE MERRIER bumped with a rival at the start, settled outside towards the front, was asked in the two path on the turn, chased in the three path late on that bend, turned into upper stretch under a drive, gained to make a bid with a furlong to run, vied between horses while carried out some to the finish and just missed the place while narrowly able to hold the show. COLLADO HUECO leaned in against the gate at the start and was off slow, spotted the front several lengths, moved out at the rear then settled towards the back, was urged along in the three path on the turn, came into the stretch in the five path and finished fast in the center of the track but was too late. OVECHKIN went to the front then showed the way, dropped from the two path to the inside early on the turn, was asked under threat on that bend, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. FATEFUL LIGHTNING moved in near the back early, was urged along while inside to the two path on the turn and was no factor. ALGHERO leaned out at the start and bumped with an opponent, settled on the inside of ASKED AND ANSWERED, was urged along in the two path on the turn and came up empty. LANGUID settled towards the front, dropped back under urging leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, came into the stretch in the three path and faltered.
