CHUMMERS two to three wide in pursuit, advanced from the seven-sixteenths marker to be just off the leader into the far turn, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and spun three then two wide into upper stretch taking over command straightened away, then edged clear under a drive and was in hand in the final jumps to the finish. IN THE DARK established the front and showed the way in hand along the inside patiently handled until let out taking the two path into upper stretch, got collared by the top one straightened away, dug in running on to the finish to preserve the place honors on the line. TIM AND SAM tracked the pace along the inside coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, spun three wide into upper stretch, kept on to procure the show honors. SNOOKIE BEAR two to three wide in pursuit from near the rear of the field, got put to encouragement three furlongs out, angled in to take the inside route into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. CHIPS AND FISH raced forwardly placed just off the inside in closest aim of the leader through the opening half mile, faded a bit into the far turn when taken brief hold as CHUMMERS circled outside and took up position in front of him, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths marker, spun three wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. MIDDLE MARKET two to three wide in pursuit, came under urging with five-sixteenths to go, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, made no late headway. MIKE'S MAGIC broke a half a beat slow, chased just off the inside and then three wide coming under coaxing three furlongs from home, angled four to five wide into upper stretch and tired. CROWBAR ARTIST chased along the inside and then just off the inside ridden along from three furlongs remaining, continued just off thee inside into upper stretch and tired.
