BASEBALL LADY traded a bump at the start with TIMIA, dueled briefly with that rival before being shaken off and settled four then three wide in closest aim, came under encouragement three furlongs from home and faded a bit through the latter portion of the turn before angling seven wide into upper stretch, rallied to come again and overhaul the top pair seventy yards from the finish, then edged clear to the wire. A. P. SLINGSHOT chased four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn under coaxing from the three-eighths marker, angled eight wide into upper stretch, kicked on belatedly and was just up for the place honors in the final jump to the finish. TIMIA traded a bump at the start with BASEBALL LADY, dueled briefly with that rival before shaking safely clear in hand just off the inside and then along the inside down the backstretch, took to the two path through the far turn and was patiently handled until let out swinging four to five wide into upper stretch confronted to the outside, dug in head to head and was caught nearing the eighth pole, then weakened in the late stages while prevailing in the battle for the show honors. OUR PREFERRED PAL broke in at the start bumping AMY'S LIGHT, chased five then four wide coming under urging at the three-eighths pole, advanced and went five to six wide into upper stretch issuing a challenge for command, dug in head to head and took over the front nearing the eighth pole, dug in and was overhauled seventy yards from the finish and weakened in the late going. AMY'S LIGHT brushed the off side stall and was bumped at the start by the aforementioned foe, chased five to six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn pushed along with seven-sixteenths to run, went five wide into upper stretch and passed tired rivals. TWIRLY chased two to three wide advancing midway on the turn coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, angled out eight to nine wide into upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. LADY DELILAH coaxed from the start, chased along the inside under urging with five-sixteenths to go, spun three wide into upper stretch, tired. SCARLET'S DREAM coaxed from the gate, chased four paths off the inside down the backstretch, briefly tucked three wide before heading to the two path nearing the half mile pole, tucked to the rail through the turn and spun just off the inside into upper stretch and weakened in the drive.
