OUTER TURF FOR THREE YEAR OLDS ELIGIBLE FOR THE NEW YORK STALLION STAKES. Lasix not allowed within 48 hours of post time pursuant to HISA Rule 4212. All foals by Nominated Stallions in the year the foal was conceived will be automatically eligible for al l of the New York Stallion Stakes Series races. By subscription of $150 each which should accompany the nomination. $750 to pass the entry box and an additional $750 to start. For horses not originally nominated, a supplemental nomination payment of $750i n addition to the entry and starting fees may be made at any time prior to the closing of entries. 5% of purses won to be awarded to the stallion nominator. 124 lbs. Non-winners of a Sweepstakes allowed 2 lbs.; of a race other than maiden, claiming or stt arter allowed 4 lbs. Main track only entrants are not eligible for weight allowances. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner. The New York Racing Association reserves the right to transfer this race to the Main Track. NESSUNA PAGINA broke in at the start bumping SUNDAY BOY in concert with ILLMATIC, raced five then four paths off the inside briefly knocking heads with ILLMATIC before shaking away to sole command tucked to the two path with nine-sixteenths to go, remained just off the inside through the turn and came under light coaxing near the quarter pole, suddenly shied out just outside that station briefly carrying out ILLMATIC and SPIRIT OF NEW YORK a path before being corrected, the rider pausing, spun two to three wide into upper stretch re-engaged by the rider, got headed for the front with three-sixteenths to go, dug in inside a pair now along the rail when those rivals came inwards now to take the two and three path, got brushed by ILLMATIC a sixteenth out, seized back command and came out slightly under a left handed crop lightly bumping ILLMATIC into SPIRIT OF NEW YORK seventy yards from home and gamely fended off that pair to prevail on the line. ILLMATIC broke out at the start bumping SUNDAY BOY, then got bumped by SPIRIT OF NEW YORK due to pressure from WIT STORM, dueled briefly with the aforementioned foe before chasing two then three wide in closest aim of that rival, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and got floated out a path just outside that station when NESSUNA PAGINA shied out, swung four wide into upper stretch advancing in tandem with SPIRIT OF NEW YORK, seized command at the three-sixteenths, dug in under a right handed crop coming in to the two path inside the eighth pole, brushed with the top one a sixteenth out, then got bumped by that rival seventy yards from home and in turn bumped SPIRIT OF NEW YORK while fighting on gamely between foes to the wire. SPIRIT OF NEW YORK got bumped at the start by WIT STORM and in turn bumped ILLMATIC, chased four wide coming under a ride nearing the quarter pole, got briefly carried out as NESSUNA PAGINA shied out near the quarter pole, swung five wide into upper stretch and was heads apart for command three-sixteenths from home, got directed inwards under a right handed crop taking to the three path inside the eighth pole, dug in fighting on to the finish getting bumped by ILLMATIC due to pressure from NESSUNA PAGINA seventy yards from home and was ultimately denied by that pair at the finish while clear for the show honors. SUNDAY BOY got bumped between foes at the break who each broke his way, chased four then three wide under a ride from three furlongs out, angled seven wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild bid. WIT STORM broke out at the start bumping SPIRIT OF NEW YORK into ILLMATIC, chased three paths off the inside down the backstretch until tucked inside at the half mile pole, came under coaxing with seven-sixteenths remaining, angled four to five wide into upper stretch and stayed on one paced to the finish. HURRICANE KAZ chased just off the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, angled four to five wide into upper stretch, made no headway. There were two Objections by the riders of ILLMATIC and SPIRIT OF NEW YORK claiming interference in the stretch against NESSUNA PAGINA. After review, both objections were dismissed and the result was allowed to stand.
