Footnotes
HIGHER FORCE prompted the pace on the outside, was asked in the two path on the turn, took the lead at the top of the stretch, drifted out under a left-handed crop while battling with SARIR outside the furlong marker, switched to a right-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole, drifted out some more under a strong hand-ride late and prevailed. SARIR went to the front then showed thew way on the inside of the winner, was asked along the rail on the turn, lost the advantage at the top of the stretch, fought on well to the finish but missed while able to get the place. RACING COLORS settled on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the four path, was driven into the stretch in the five path and finished willingly for the show. ADRIAN broke in and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, settled at the rear, was ridden along late on the backstretch, traveled around the turn in the two path, turned into the stretch under the crop and lacked the needed kick. BEIRA broke hard through the front of the gate prior to the start, was brought back around then deemed fit to run by the state veterinarian before being reloaded, established a good position just off the pace, moved out near the half-mile pole, chased in the three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path and lacked the needed response.
