Footnotes
FLIGHT COMMAND was hustled to the front the showed the way with a clear advantage, dictated terms while inside to the two path on the turn, was asked outside the quarter-pole, drew off under a hand-ride in upper stretch, had the rider lose his crop while attempting to un-cock it at the furlong marker and widened to win handily. HURRICANE MO chased the winner on the outside then in the three path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a strong drive and proved no match while clear for the place. JOHNNY HOCKEY was urged along off the pace, saved ground on the turn, moved out in upper stretch, drifted in into the final sixteenth and was best of the rest. BET BOLD was ridden along towards the rear, moved in late on the backstretch, dropped from the three path to the two path early on the turn, remained in the two path into the stretch and failed to threaten. DIAMOND JUAN was last to commence then urged at the rear, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn and was no factor. VAPOR TRAIL had a shoe repaired in the paddock, broke in and a half-step slow, was urged along off the pace, moved out late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the four path and came up empty. PERFECT DREAM was ridden along on the far outside, dropped from the five path to the three path on the turn and failed to respond.
