ENGLISH CASTLE established the front shortly after the break and showed the way in hand along the inside uncontested and patiently handled until roused taking the two path into upper stretch, edged away under a drive to the eighth pole, held well and clear to the finish kept to task. OAT COUTOUR settled tracking the front just off the inside from mid pack, remained on hold until set down angled six wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick. WILLPOWERED unhurried just off the inside settling near the rear of the field, came under coaxing nearing the quarter pole and went seven wide into upper stretch, kicked on belatedly to the finish. NEWLYN tracked the pace along the inside patiently handled until let out spinning just off the inside into upper stretch and kept on to the wire. INSPEIGHTOFCHARLIE saved ground in pursuit from mid pack, remained on hold until roused angled five wide at the top of the stretch, dug in under a drive and made no headway through to the end. JOE WEST coaxed from the gate, chased along the inside near the rear of the field, got asked spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, offered no response. TOUGH CRITIC raced three then two wide in closest aim of the leader coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, spun three wide for home, weakened in the late stages. BLUE PILL saved ground at the tail of the field, came under urging three furlongs from home, went ten to eleven wide at the head of the stretch, made no impact. SIX FORTYFIVE tracked the leader just off the inside from just off the pace, came under a ride with five-sixteenths remaining and tipped four wide into upper stretch, then weakened in the drive.
