SPINNING CLASS was taken in hand early, saved ground on the first turn, was rated just off the pace, moved from the two path to the four path while roused on the far turn, rallied outside in upper stretch, closed strongly under a right-handed crop to get the lead outside the furlong marker and drew away under steady urging to prove much the best. MAPPY broke out but came out in front, went around the first turn in the two then three path, showed the way well off the inside, moved in late on the backstretch, vied in the two path while inside of a rival on the far turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, drifted out while put to a right-handed crop in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the furlong marker and proved no match while keeping on well to hold the place. KEF dropped off the pace, was taken in hand nearing the first turn, saved ground under reserve, was urged along on the far turn, drifted out under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, moved in under a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker and was along for the show.
