READY FOR CANDY raced just off the inside early on until nudged three to four wide by MAY DAY READY just inside seven furlongs to run, raced three then two wide through the first turn before settling three wide in pursuit from just off the pace, continued three wide through the far turn advancing steadily on the top pair from the five-sixteenths, got set down spinning four wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command straightened away, dug in under a drive coming under growing threat to the outside and just held on by the bob of the nose. PARADISE CITY bobbled at the break, advanced to be forwardly placed and tucked inside to track the top pair in closest aim, remained patiently handled until let out angled four wide at the head of the stretch, closed well on the outside and just missed on the wire when losing the nod. DECADENT settled saving ground near the rear of the field, remained patiently handled until set down taking the inside route into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick. GRISELDA (FR) settled tracking the front just off the inside in mid pack, remained patiently handled until roused angled five wide into upper stretch, kept on under a drive to the finish. SEA TO SKY (IRE) three then two wide through the first turn, chased three wide coming under encouragement three furlongs from home, angled out seven wide at the head of the stretch, offered up a bid but was outkicked. SCARLET SANDS bobbled at the break, showed the way in hand along the inside coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, yielded the front straightened away and weakened in the final furlong. MAY DAY READY coaxed from the gate, advanced with a rush keenly as instructed along the rail and was placed under a hold now off heels of a rival and tipped to the two path and was off heels once more and steadied twice seven furlongs from home before nudging READY FOR CANDY out to get to the three path to make a lane and get through, advanced on the leader going two to three wide through the first turn before settling just off the inside tracking the leader in closest aim down the backstretch behind loose cover, had that rival tuck inside and remained just off the inside through the far turn on hold, the rider looking behind with five-sixteenths to go, swung three wide into upper stretch set down for the drive and straightened away between foes and came up empty in the stretch backing away to the finish. RUTH chased three then two wide from the tail of the field coming under urging from three furlongs out, went three wide at the head of the stretch, offered no response.
