Footnotes
THREE THIRTEEN was urged along towards the front, chased in the two then three path on the turn, gained to make a bid in upper stretch, dueled with a foe into the final sixteenth, battled gamely to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. TRUE LEGEND broke a bit slow, settled off the pace, was urged along while saving ground on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, swung into the stretch in the four path, rallied to make a bid near the eighth-pole, dueled with the winner into the final sixteenth, fought determinedly to the finish and was denied while able to get the place. MAKE A PREDICTION settled under some urging, went around the turn in the two path, moved out near the furlong marker and finished fast to just get the show. SUNDAY BOY stumbled at the start then dropped back, was urged along at the rear, went around the turn in the two then three path, turned into the stretch in the five path and finished with good energy to just miss the trifecta. SIR WALTA showed speed then disputed the pace on the outside, vied in the three then two path on the turn, battled under a drive into the final furlong and weakened. SNICKERY settled under some urging, moved from the four path to the three path early on the turn, dropped back on that bend, turned into upper stretch under a drive and failed to threaten while gaining ground late. B PROVOCATEUR broke a step slow, tracked the pace on the outside, dropped back with three furlongs to run, went around the turn in the three then four path and lacked the needed response. DAISY DOO broke out then hit the gate and was off a bit slow, was urged along near the back, raced inside for most of the turn then moved to the two path and failed to rally. GENIE was hustled from the gate, disputed the pace on the inside of a foe, vied along the rail on the turn and tired.
