INTRICATE SPIRIT came away in good order then showed speed, contested the pace on the inside of a foe, was taken back off the pace late on the backstretch, moved from the rail to the two path very early on the turn, ranged up to make a bid at the five-sixteenths pole, took the lead while asked for his best in upper stretch, fought outside of the runner-up into the final sixteenth then edged clear under strong urging. LONGSHOREMAN stumbled at the start, moved up to dispute the pace on the outside, went clear late on the backstretch, dropped from the two path to the rail very early on the turn, was asked outside the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch, battled with that foe into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while able to get the place. ATTFIELD moved out then settled on the outside, was roused in the three to four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and improved to narrowly get the show. EXPRESSWAY was urged along off the pace, went around the turn in the two path, turned into the stretch in the five path and also improved position but just missed the show.
