Footnotes
RATED BY MERIT went to the front, showed the way under pressure from his outside while under extra left-rein pressure, inched clear while guided around the turn in the two path under a strong left-handed grip, responded well when put to a drive in upper stretch, came under a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker, began to drift out inside that marker, switched to a left-handed crop inside the sixteenth-pole, continued to drift out to the finish and held. WISE UP was a step slow into stride, moved up to be well placed just off the pace, came under urging late on the backstretch, chased inside for most of the turn then shifted to the three path, pursued the winner with good courage while under a drive in the stretch, was taken in hand behind that foe near the finish and missed while well clear for the place. LIGHT FOREVER was forced out at the start, tracked the pace down the backstretch, came under urging into the turn, went around that bend in the four path, turned into the stretch under a drive and came up empty while best of the rest. UNCAGED broke out and bobbled then dropped back, angled out at the rear, dropped well behind while ridden along, went around most of the turn in the five path, dropped to the three then two path late on that bend and failed to threaten. DREAMBUILDER broke out at the start, was placed under a snug left-rein grip early, pressed the pace on the outside, chased while drifting from the three path to the six path on the turn, floated out to the eight path into upper stretch and faltered.
