GOLDEN PLATE chased three then four wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths pole, swung five wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive rallying to take command nearing the eighth pole, then inched away to the finish kept to task. TAPWRITS TEMPER got bumped at the start by SITTIN CHILLY due to pressure from SMILENSAYCHEESE, chased along the inside briefly and then two to three wide thereafter coming under a ride three furlongs from home, spun three wide into upper stretch, seized command with three-sixteenths to go, dug in under threat and was collared a sixteenth out, ran on to clear of the rest to preserve the place honors on the wire. SMILENSAYCHEESE veered out at the start bumping SITTIN CHILLY into TAPWRITS TEMPER, chased along the inside and then just off the inside under urging from the three-eighths pole, angled five wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the finish. LEADING ROLE broke out at the start under coaxing, knocked heads briefly with HENRY'S HOPE before easing off that rival to chase along the inside, tipped to the two path nearing the half mile pole, came under a ride at the seven-sixteenths and advanced on the leader in tandem with TAPWRITS TEMPER, seized command nearing the quarter pole and spun just off the inside into upper stretch, yielded the front at the three-sixteenths marker, then weakened in the late stages. SITTIN CHILLY got bumped at the start by the veering out SMILENSAYCHEESE and in turn bumped TAPWRITS TEMPER, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under encouragement from three furlongs out, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. BOOTED UP five wide in pursuit, got ridden along midway on the turn, tipped seven wide at the head of the stretch, made no impact. HENRY'S HOPE coaxed from the gate, knocked heads with LEADING ROLE early on before shaking clear three then two wide, tucked inside five furlongs out, remained along the inside through the turn and had a pair of rivals advance outside and was placed to urging at the five-sixteenths in response, yielded the front nearing the quarter pole and went three wide at the head of the stretch, then tired through to the end.
