DIRAND (IRE) angled in early, was well placed just off the pace on the inside, moved out on the far turn, rallied to make a bid in the five path into the stretch, took the lead at the three-sixteenths pole, shook clear outside the furlong marker, was kept to the task into the final sixteenth then eased up some while much the best. OPERATION OVERLORD bumped with a rivals at the start, went to the front, rounded the first turn in the two path, showed the way down the backstretch, came under urging near the half-mile pole, vied inside on the far turn, lost the advantage outside the five-sixteenths pole, was bumped in upper stretch and proved no match for the winner but kept on for the place. LIMO came in at the start then bumped with a foe, was placed under a tight hold while showing speed, raced in the three path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the two path on the far turn, took the lead outside the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage at quarter-pol then spun into the stretch in the three path, drifted in and bumped with a foe near the three-sixteenths pole and weakened but just held the show. VINTAGE VINO tucked into the two path on the first turn, settled off the pace, urged along late on the backstretch, moved from the two path to the four path on the far turn, chased under a drive in the stretch and gained some late to just miss the show. ORATOR bumped with rivals on both sides at the start, raced in the two path on the first turn, settled off the pace on the outside, ranged up to make a bid in the three path on the far turn, took the lead coming to the quarter-pole, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch and also weakened then just missed the superfecta. MORTAL LOCK brushed with a foe at the start, rounded the first turn in the three path, settled on the far outside, was roused in the four then five path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the six path and lacked the needed response. BLUE PILL raced inside to the two path on the first turn, was unhurried at the rear, went around the far turn in the two then three path and failed to impact. PARTY WITH SMARTY bumped with foes on both sides at the start, tugged keenly at the bit into the first turn, saved ground on that bend, was reserved towards the back, rounded the far turn in the two path while roused and failed to threaten. QUIET MOON bumped with a rival at the start, settled on the inside, moved to the two path before the five-sixteenths pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive and failed to respond.
