NEWTOWN PIKE hit the gate at the start, was urged along off the pace, took an awkward stride along the rail near the half-mile pole then dropped back, moved from the inside to the four path on the turn, passed the five-sixteenths pole between horses, turned into upper stretch under a drive, moved in outside the sixteenth-pole and closed strongly to get up in the final stride. FOR THE LADIES broke out at the start, showed the way while off the inside, lugged out in the two path on the turn, shook clear under a drive in upper stretch, led until the final stride but was denied while clear for the place. IT'S CAROL'S WAY bumped with a rival at the start, was urged along off the pace, traveled around the turn in th four path and finished willingly for the show. SASSY ONE broke a bit slow, was ridden along off the pace, went around the turn in the two then three path on the turn, came out to the five path into upper stretch and also finished willingly but just missed the show. CLEAN WINNER was ridden along off the pace, chased inside on the turn, pursued the leader in the stretch and lacked the needed kick. DANIELLA MARIE pressed the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, lost touch with the runner-up in upper stretch and tired. CRAVINGS was ridden along towards the rear on the outside, went around the turn in the four to five path, remained on her inside lead in the drive and failed to threaten. SION'S ROSE broke a bit slow and spotted the front a few lengths, settled at the rear, rounded the turn in the two path and was no factor. BEST GIRL MAGIC hit the inside of the gate at the start then bumped with a foe, was ridden along off the pace, dropped back in the three path on the turn and had nothing left.
