GETTING SERIOUS settled tracking the leader from just off the inside just off the pace, came under coaxing near the quarter pole, angled four wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a furlong from home, dug in under a drive inching away to the finish kept to task. CANDY MOONSHINE showed the way in hand along the inside under the close watch of BLACK ROSE to the outside while clear as a pair from the main body of the field, remained patiently handled until set down taking the inside route into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was collared a furlong out, came in with seventy yards to the finish impeding FANCY N' FLIGHT forcing that rival to check when bouncing her off the temporary rail and ran on to secure the place honors. FANCY N' FLIGHT tracked the front two to three wide from just off the pace, angled in to take the inside route into upper stretch and was paused briefly behind the leader before getting roused through a seam opened by the infield chute, rallied up the rail to issue a challenge inside the final furlong, got impeded when CANDY MOONSHINE came inwards and was bounced off the temporary fence and forced to check losing about two lengths of ground before just holding on for the show honors at the wire. PERM (IRE) tracked two to three wide from near the rear of the field early on, steadily made progress to mid pack, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and went six wide into upper stretch, kicked on belatedly to the finish. SAMARTINA (FR) settled chasing two to three wide from mid pack, came under encouragement near the quarter pole, angled five wide into upper stretch and stayed on one paced to the end. ABIGAIL raced three wide through the first turn, chased three to four wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch and passed tired rivals. SHARING WISDOM (GB) bobbled at the break, saved ground in pursuit from mid pack, came under urging at the five-sixteenths, tipped three to four wide into upper stretch and offered no kick. BLACK ROSE broke out at the start taking over the lane of ESSENCE L VEE, who broke a beat slow, prompted the leader from the outside in the two path patiently handled until set down spinning two to three wide into upper stretch, weakened in the final furlong. CURLY Q GIRL tracked the pace along the inside coming under urging with five-sixteenths to go, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, offered no response. ESSENCE L VEE broke a length slow and had her lane taken off by BLACK ROSE momentarily, chased just off the inside ridden along from three furlongs out, spun three wide at the head of the stretch and made no impact. JUST BRILLIANT two to three wide in pursuit, got pushed along with five-sixteenths remaining, angled five to six wide into upper stretch and trailed throughout. There was a Stewards' Inquiry into the stretch run focusing on CANDY MOONSHINE and FANCY N' FLIGHT as well as a Claim of Foul by the rider of FANCY N' FLIGHT alleging interference in deep stretch against CANDY MOONSHINE. After review, it was deemed that CANDY MOONSHINE had indeed interfered with FANCY N' FLIGHT. As a result, CANDY MOONSHINE was disqualified from second and placed third before the result was declared official. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time available.
