Footnotes
LACHAISE was well placed just off the pace on the inside, came under urging near the five-sixteenths pole, swung out to the four path into upper stretch, rallied to the lead coming to the furlong marker, responded well into the final sixteenth and prevailed under steady urging. HAMILTON'S WAY bobbled at the start but came out in front, raced in the two path on the first turn, was reserved off the pace, went around the far turn in the three path while roused, swung out to the six path into upper stretch and finished with good energy to just get the place. KULAPAT raced at the rear early, saved ground on the first turn, was unhurried at the back, traveled around the far turn in the two path, was asked outside the quarter-pole then spun into the stretch in the three path, chased past the eighth-pole, moved in some while gaining in the final furlong and finished with good courage to just miss the place while able to get the show. ENNIS TOWN moved out after leaving the chute, was rated while tugging at the bit, rounded the first turn in the three path, settled outside without cover, stalked in the three path on the far turn, was given his cue outside the quarter-pole, spun into upper stretch in the five path, pursued the winner in the drive and was out-kicked. SALT SPARTAN broke out and bumped with a foe, stalked the pace on the outside in the two path, made a bid with about a half-mile to run, took the lead at the top of the stretch then spun into the lane in the three path, battled with a foe under a drive, lost the advantage to the winner coming to the furlong marker and was outfinished. JURISPRUDENCE was bumped at the start, saved ground while reserved under tight restraint, tugged on the bit, was asked near the quarter-pole, came off the rail in upper stretch, moved out in the final furlong and failed to threaten. ENGLISH CASTLE went to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked on the far turn, lost the advantage at the quarter-pole then spun off the rail into the stretch, battled under a drive into the final furlong and weakened.
