TOP PLAYER vied and then set a pressured pace along the inside, then dueled for command by the three eighths marker, made a bid leaving the turn to gain a short advantage to the furlong marker and then slowly edged clear to prove best under left handed crop urging. PRIDE OF THE UNION vied for the lead early and then pressed the winner to his outside, made a two wide bid on the turn to duel for command but was out-kicked in the drive while running on gamely to the wire to be clearly second best. ROYAL RIDDLE was bumped at the start, rushed up on the inside under a hard hold, then was coaxed along by the three eighths while still towards the inside and swung out four wide leaving the turn and moved out farther nearing the three sixteenths but lacked the needed late kick while clearly besting the rest. RUMBLYOUNGMANRUMBL chased the early pace from the outside and raced three to four wide on the turn, angled in nearing the quarter pole and raced on the inside in the lane but had no rally. HURRICANE KAZ hit the gate and broke inward bumping a foe at the start, tracked the pace three wide and then was four wide by the quarter pole and came up empty.
