PAROS moved in while showing speed from the outside, went clear while dropping to the inside into the first turn, opened up a sizable advantage, was asked in the two path on the far turn, remained well clear under a drive into the final sixteenth, shortened stride while tiring late and was caught while just able to get the place. SHERLOCK'S JEWEL saved ground on the first turn, settled off the pace, was roused in the two then three path on the far turn, came into upper stretch in the four path, pursued the runner-up while outside in the drive, gained into the final sixteenth and just missed the place while clear for the show. WRITE OFF JERRY settled towards the rear while saving ground, was roused on the far turn, moved out in upper stretch and improved with good energy to just get the last spot in the superfecta.
