FOREVER YOUNG (JPN) four paths off the inside through the dog legged turn from the chute, settled four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch in closest aim of the leader, advanced on that foe and had that rival carry him out half a path inside the five furlong marker into the far turn, advanced on PHILEAS FOGG through that bend steadily gaining lightly coaxed to take command with three furlongs to go, got set down angled six wide into upper stretch, edged clear under a drive on his left lead through the stretch to the finish drifting out slightly through the final sixteenth to the wire. STARS AND STRIPES chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths pole, swung four wide into upper stretch, ran on to chase the winner home clear of the rest for the place honors. BAEZA hesitated at the break getting away last and conceding four to five lengths to the front before settling into stride, chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under a ride three furlongs out, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and kept on to the finish to procure the show honors. PHILEAS FOGG coaxed from the gate to establish the front from the get go, showed the way in hand three paths off the rail through the first turn and into the backstretch, had the rider take a peek back five and a half furlongs out and then tipped out slightly carrying FOREVER YOUNG out to the five path five furlongs from home into the far turn, went four then three wide through that turn coming under urging at the three-eighths marker when under threat to the outside, got displaced from command at that station and gave chase swinging five wide into upper stretch, then tired through to the finish.
