HOLDING POWER was hustled from the gate, paused in tight quarters along the rail early then was well placed towards the front, drafted in the two path on the turn, was given his cue near the five-sixteenths pole, rallied in the three path into the stretch, closed well to get the lead inside the furlong marker, shook off LOUGH CURRANE into the final sixteenth and just held under strong urging. TAMPA STORM bumped with rivals on both sides at the start then was taken up, went around most of the turn in the four path then dropped to the three path, chased in the stretch, gained into the final sixteenth, made a bid between horses late and just missed while narrowly able to get the place. CHRIS'S SONG bumped with foes on both sides at the start, was urged along off the pace, went around the turn in the three path, was driven into the stretch in the five path, chased outside in the drive, gained in tandem with the runner-up into the final sixteenth, made a bid outside of the top two late and just missed while clear for the show. LOUGH CURRANE showed speed then switched out behind the leader, moved up to press the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, took the lead with three furlongs to turn, went clear outside the quarter-pole, led into the final furlong then was headed by the winner, dropped back into the final sixteenth and weakened. IN FRONT RUNNER bumped with rivals at the start then steadied, was urged along off the pace, went around most of the turn in the six path then moved to the five path, dropped to the four path into the stretch and improved position. CHESS MATCH was hustled from the gate then ridden along near the back, saved ground on the turn and failed to threaten. MR R T was hustled from the gate then chased the pace, rounded the turn in the four path and tired. PORTADOWN LAD had his saddle adjusted behind the gate, bumped with foes on both sides at the start, angled in at the rear, saved ground on the turn and was no factor. BELLAMY broke out and bumped with CHRIS'S SONG, was urged along off the pace, went around the turn in the three path and came up empty. JOHNNY BAY GOODE broke out and hit the gate then bumped with PORTADOWN LAD, was urged along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the five path, was driven into the stretch in the six path and failed to respond. TRAPPING HANDS bumped with PORTADOWN LAD at the start, was urged along on the outside, dropped back late on the backstretch, moved from the five path to the two path on the turn, came out in the stretch and also failed to respond. EASEMYWORRIEDMIND went to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, raced inside on the turn, was asked while being headed with three furlongs to run, dropped back outside the quarter-pole and faded.
