INEXORABLE raced well back in the field, went around the turn in the four path, rallied in the five path into the stretch, closed strongly to get the lead inside the three-sixteenths pole, battled outside of two foes into the final furlong, fought outside of the runner-up to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. LE GRIS was hustled from the gate, pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the four then three path on the turn, took the lead outside the quarter-pole, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch, fought on well with that foe in the final furlong and just missed while clear for the place. MY NOBLE KNIGHT was urged along towards the front, chased in the three then four path on the turn, gained to make a bid in upper stretch, battled with the top two while remaining on his inside lead into the final furlong, swapped to the proper lead shortly thereafter and was outfinished while just able to get the show. CASTLE CHAOS bumped lightly with BERNIN HOT early, raced off the pace, moved from the inside to the two path while getting closer on the turn, chased under a drive in the stretch and just missed the show. MAKES SENSE chased the pace, moved in near the three-quarter pole, went around the turn in the two to three path, came out to the six path into upper stretch and lacked the needed kick. FRIZZANTE was urged along at the rear, saved ground on the turn and was no factor. KHOZEIRESS was urged along well back in the field, moved out leaving the backstretch, traveled around the turn in the four path, came into upper stretch in the seven path and failed to threaten. BERNIN HOT made light contact with CASTLE CHAOS at the start, went to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, dropped from the two path to the inside on the turn, lost the lead late on that bend and faded. PINEAPPLE MAN chased the pace, made a bid in the three then two path on the turn, dropped back outside the five-sixteenths pole and retreated.
