AMANGANI (IRE) three wide in pursuit, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and was set down spinning six wide into upper stretch, came in very slightly inside the three-sixteenths and was bumped by PEPPERMINT TWIST due to pressure inside that rival from QUEEN JUNO, who came outwards, absorbed the blow and rallied to issue a challenge inside the final furlong taking command just outside the sixteenth marker, then inched away to the finish to prevail. VAJRA broke in at the start trading a bump with NEW ROSE, who broke outwards, showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside under pressure from a pair of rivals to the outside, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and shook away from those foes before being confronted by the top one inside the final furlong, got collared just outside the sixteenth pole, ran on clear of the rest for the place honors. NEW ROSE broke out at the start trading a bump with VAJRA, chased just off the inside, got set down spinning three wide into upper stretch, kept on to secure the show honors. RATU JAWA chased along the inside and then just off the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths marker, angled four wide into upper stretch, kicked on belatedly to the finish. ONLY FOR NOW chased just off the inside under encouragement from the five-sixteenths pole, angled five wide into upper stretch and improved position to the wire. QUEEN JUNO pressed the pace of VAJRA from the outside three then two wide coming under a ride with five-sixteenths to go, swung four wide into upper stretch, got shaken off straightened away and came out inside the three-sixteenths and bumped PEPPERMINT TWIST into AMANGANI, then weakened in the late stages. ONE LAST KNOCK got bumped in the hind end at the start by the badly stumbling CODE and was briefly turned outwards, chased along the inside coming under a ride with five-sixteenths to run, spun two to three ide into upper stretch and weakened. BETTE DAVIS EYES (IRE) two to three wide in pursuit, came under coaxing near the quarter pole, went seven wide into upper stretch, weakened. SOME RIDE got away to a hesitant start and was away last, chased three wide coming under urging at the five-sixteenths marker, went five to six wide into upper stretch, angled out to the eight path just inside the three-sixteenths when bumping was taking place in front and weakened to the finish. LA TASMANIA (ARG) chased along the inside coming under urging near the quarter pole, continued in the inside route into upper stretch, tired. PEPPERMINT TWIST pressed the pace outside the top pair four then three wide, tipped five wide into upper stretch, was in the midst of being shaken off when QUEEN JUNO came outwards, got bumped by that rival and in turn bumped AMANGANI as that rival went on by, then tired through to the end. CODE stumbled badly at the start pecking the ground and lost the rider in the process bumping into the hind end of ONE LAST KNOCK and turning that foe outwards, got apprehended by the outrider after the finish and walked off under her own power. There was a Stewards' Inquiry into the start focusing on CODE as well as a second inquiry into the stretch run focusing on the bumping involving AMANGATI. After review, the result was allowed to stand with no action taken in either situation prior to the race being declared official.
