UNCLE GENE brushed the near side stall at the start, raced three wide in closest aim of the leader advancing on that rival under coaxing from three furlongs out, seized narrow command spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was collared a furlong out, dug in fighting on gamely to come again, got bumped by MAX O NIDAS when taking back the front seventy yards from home and scored by a neck on the wire. MAX O NIDAS coaxed from the gate, chased along the inside coming under a ride near the quarter pole, spun three to four wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a furlong out, dug in under threat from that rival to the inside, came in slightly under a right handed crop and bumped that foe when headed for command seventy yards from the finish and ran on to secure the place honors well clear of the rest and along second best. OGUGUA broke in at the start bumping VAPOR TRAIL, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, took the inside route into upper stretch, offered up a bid a furlong out, kept on to the finish. PAPA VEGAS chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch, and then four wide through the turn coming under coaxing three furlongs out, swung five wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid a furlong out, then weakened in the late stages. LOAN RANGER shied in at the start filling the space left vacant by OGUGUA, chased four to five paths off the inside until tucked inside five furlongs out, swung four to five wide into upper stretch and tired. MEDIEVAL coaxed from the gate, crossed directly to the two path after the start and showed the way in hand just off the inside, yielded the front in the inside route near the quarter pole, and tired in the stretch. VAPOR TRAIL got bumped at the start by OGUGUA, chased four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn, came under urging three furlongs out, swung four wide for home and tired. HOTSHOTMCGILICUDY three wide in pursuit, came under coaxing at the three-eighths, angled nine wide into upper stretch and made no impact. MADDENBLEU coaxed from the gate, chased seven paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn, swung five wide for home and made no impact. WARTOENDALLWARS coaxed from the start, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn, went six to seven wide into upper stretch and faltered.
