Footnotes
MY TOGO tracked along the inside from just off the pace early on until tipped to the two path into the clear five furlongs out, went back to the inside through the far turn and came under coaxing near the quarter pole, swung four wide into upper stretch, rallied to issue a challenge inside the final furlong seizing command just outside the sixteenth pole, then inched away to the finish kept to task. BRILLIANT FURY saved ground near the rear of the field patiently handled until roused spinning three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive running on through to the finish to be along willingly for the place honors in the final jumps. TIZIO three to four wide in pursuit, came under urging near the quarter pole and seized command at that station, swung five wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught just outside the sixteenth marker, kept on clear for the show honors. TANGO TANGO buckled at the start recovering inwards into BEFORE THE WIND and was lightly pinched out after the start, chased two to three wide coming under a ride near the quarter pole, angled five to six wide into upper stretch and improved position to the end. BEFORE THE WIND got bumped at the start by the aforementioned foe, chased two to thee wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, angled six wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. KOTLIKOFF prompted the pace of PROFESSOR PROTON from the outside three then two wide, took over narrow command just inside the five-sixteenths marker, got displaced from command spinning two to three wide into upper stretch and weakened through to the finish. NOTHINGBUTNITRO four then three wide in pursuit, came under urging with five-sixteenths remaining, angled in and took the inside route into upper stretch and weakened. PROFESSOR PROTON crossed to the inside after the start and showed the way in hand under some pressure from KOTLIKOFF to the outside, yielded the front just inside five-sixteenths to go and was roused taking the inside route into upper stretch, then faltered through to the wire.
