COACH RYAN stumbled at the start getting away near the rear of the field, settled unhurried just off the inside tracking the front, remained patiently handled until set down angled four to five wide into upper stretch, rallied outside to issue a challenge inside the final sixteenth and was up twenty yards from the finish to score. HONOREE four wide into the first turn, tucked three then two wide by midway, settled two to three wide in pursuit from mid pack, swung four wide into upper stretch let out for the drive, rallied to take command sixteenth out already under threat to the outside and was caught with twenty yards to the finish. CRESCENDO'S REIN raced along the inside through the first turn before taking to the two path with six and a half furlongs to run as MCDIESEL crossed to the inside, tracked that rival in closest aim coming under coaxing with five-sixteenths remaining, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and seized command straightened away, dug in under threat and was collared a sixteenth out, fought on to the wire. WILLPOWERED tracked the pace along the inside in hand until roused taking the two path at the head of the stretch, offered up a bid a furlong out, then kept on to the end. CHARLES J broke out a step and traded a light bump at the break with BLUE PILL, raced three then two wide through the opening turn before settling just off the inside just off the pace, came under urging near the quarter pole and spun three wide into upper stretch, weakened in the late stages. MCDIESEL established the front and showed the way in hand along the inside, got set down near the quarter pole under threat and took the inside route into upper stretch, yielded command straightened away and weakened in the late going. SWEET TONE saved ground in pursuit from near the rear of the field, came under encouragement nearing the quarter pole and cornered three wide at the top of the lane, weakened through to the finish. BLUE PILL broke in a step at the start and traded a light bump with CHARLES J, raced three wide through the first turn, chased three then two wide under urging with five-sixteenths to run, angled five wide for home and made no impact.
