Footnotes
SIR WALTA bumped inner foe at the start, dictated the terms of the race along the inside, came under a ride turning for home to open up a couple lengths in the upper stretch, began to flatten out in the final furlong but was able to hold off the late rally. JOKER ON FIRE was forwardly placed three wide in the early stages, brushed out by inner foe attempting to split at the nine sixteenths, tracked the pace three wide through the turn, before being asked at the three eighths marker, clawed away at the leading margin down the stretch but came up short. RHYTON bobbled at the start, continued off the pace in the two path until taking to the outside entering the stretch, formed a rally to be up for the show award. B PROVOCATEUR bumped outer foe at the start, raced close up between runners before taking a slight hold approaching the half mile marker, backed off and took the inside of the turn before swinging three wide in the stretch but lacked the late kick necessary. RACERX trailed in the early stages, continued three wide through the turn, angled along the rail at the quarter to pass faders. DANCING BEAR shadowed the pace along the inside, was roused about the quarter but came up empty and faded. ROYAL BROWNE was close up between rivals two wide for the first furlong before steadying at the five eighths, repositioned and tightly split foes three wide before the turn for a close up position between runners, began a slow retreat around the five sixteenths despite the rider's urging.
