BAMBOOZIE went to the front then showed the way, vied in the two path on the turn, responded well when asked near the quarter-pole, fought on gamely in the stretch, battled with the winner to the finish and was denied while just able to get the place. ABOUT FACE was bumped at the start and forced out into another rival, saved ground while rated just off the pace, drafted inside on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, waited into upper stretch, was held up while stymied behind horses and full of run until inside the sixteenth-pole, altered in about seventy yards from the finish and gained but was too late in a tough trip while able to get the show. FORT GRIFFIN broke out and brushed the gate, showed speed then contested the pace on the inside, vied along the rail while asked on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch, bumped lightly with a foe while out of contention outside the furlong marker and faded.
