Footnotes
OBSTREPEROUS was well placed while settling nicely into stride, raced inside to the two path on the turn, was roused in the three path into upper stretch, rallied to get the lead outside the sixteenth-pole and just held under strong urging. XMAS IN CAIRO broke a half-step slow, settled off the pace, saved ground on the turn, came off the inside while asked for her best in upper stretch, rallied in the final furlong, closed well to make a bid between horses near the sixteenth-pole, fought inside of the winner to the finish and just missed while clear for the show. KUWAITYA (IRE) moved up under urging, took the lead just inside the nine-sixteenths pole, vied along the rail on the turn, fought under a drive in upper stretch, lost the advantage near the furlong marker and was outfinished but just held the show. RIVER SEINE (IRE) tracked the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, was given her cue near the quarter-pole, came into upper stretch in the four path, pursued the leader on the outside into the final sixteenth and lacked the needed kick then just missed the show. QUEEN MARTINA (IRE) was off a step slow, settled towards the rear, went around the turn in the two then three path, was roused in the five path into upper stretch and lacked the needed kick. QUIET CONFIDENCE showed speed on the outside and led the way early, lost the advantage just inside the nine-sixteenths pole, vied in the two path while outside of KUWAITYA on the turn, was asked for her best in upper stretch, poked a head in front coming to the furlong marker, lost the advantage to the winner outside the sixteenth-pole and was outfinished.
