Footnotes
SCRAMJET showed the way along the inside, received shoulder taps along the way through the turn, moved off the rail enough nearing the quarter pole to allow for an inside bid from COVERED OPTION, dug in and held off that rival down the stretch. COVERED OPTION broke inward and bumped foe at the start, chased the pace from the inside, made a rail move at the quarter-pole to be in contention entering the stretch, fought hard but was ultimately held off for a gamely finish. PROFESSOR PLUM raced in the middle of the pack three wide, entered an all out drive nearing the five-sixteenths pole, entered the stretch four wide and continued his rally for the show award. BIG HANDSOME hit the inside of the gate at the start and trailed in the early stages, coaxed along two wide through the turn and reached the lane in the five path, mildly improved position down the stretch. INALIENABLE was forwardly placed three wide, began nudging along around the three-eighths and found a prominent position at the quarter pole but lacked a closing bid in the later stages. MIDNIGHT RAIDER was off the pace five wide for the run up the backstretch, trailed three wide through the turn, went by faders in the stretch. HAMMERIN HENRY broke a step slow, raced off the pace on the inside, was roused heavily nearing the seven-sixteenths pole, took to the outside of the lane but showed little. FULLCUP was bumped by outer foe at the start, stalked the pace two wide before stopping after the five-sixteenths and easing across.
