Footnotes
SCULCOS FOLLY stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid near the nine-sixteenths pole, vied in the two path on the turn, poked a head in front nearing the quarter-pole, kicked clear when asked for his best in upper stretch and held under steady urging. BUTTAH brushed with EL GRANDE O just after the start, was well placed down the backstretch, raced inside to the two path on the turn, was roused near the quarter-pole, pursued the winner in the stretch and willingly earned the place. CALDO CANDY was urged early then settled between horses, came back under urging near the eleven-sixteenths pole, chased in the four path on the turn, passed the five-sixteenths pole under the crop, chased the winner under a drive into the final furlong and weakened but was clear for the show. ACOUSTIC AVE was hustled from the gate then urged along on the outside, chased in the three path on the turn, made a bid outside the three-eighths pole, dropped back under a drive in upper stretch and tired. FACTUALLY CORRECT showed speed and set the pace, was asked under threat while inside on the turn, lost the advantage approaching the quarter-pole and gave way. EL GRANDE O brushed with BUTTAH just after the start, settled off the early pace, was taken in hand near the eleven-sixteenths pole and rated into the turn, went around most of that bend in the two path then shifted to the three path, was roused in the four path into the stretch then angled further out and lacked the needed response. THE WINE STEWARD was hustled from the gate then urged along at the rear on the outside, traveled around the turn in the five path and failed to respond. HIT THE POST was hustled from the gate then urged off the pace, dropped back with five furlongs to run, departed the backstretch between horses, raced inside to the three path on the turn and also failed to respond.
