Footnotes
L'ECLAIR settled off the pace, went around the turn in the three then two path, was roused in the four path into upper stretch, rallied outside into the final furlong and closed strongly to get up in the final sixteenth and prevail. COLLECTIVE BARGAIN went to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, raced inside on the turn, was asked at the quarter-pole then came under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a right-handed crop at the furlong marker, led into the final sixteenth under a strong hand-ride but was caught while well clear for the place. INTERSTATELOVESONG settled on the outside, was roused in the four path on the turn, came into upper stretch in the six path and lacked the needed response while up for the show. ARMY GAL raced just off the pace, was asked while inside on the turn, moved to the two path later on that bend, spun into upper stretch in the three path and weakened then missed the show. NEXT ON STAGE raced just off the pace between horses, was given her cue in the two path on the turn then moved to the three path late on that bend, came into upper stretch in the five path and tired. SOME RIDE settled on the outside, was asked in the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch in the seven path and failed to threaten. ROMAN GRACE raced just off the pace on the outside, chased in the three then two path on the turn, dropped to the rail into the stretch and came up empty. MERMAID MAGIC settled at the rear, saved ground on the turn, came out to the three path into upper stretch and was no factor.
