FROSTELLE was hustled to the front, dictated terms while inside through the turn, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole, drew off under a strong hand-ride in upper stretch, was put to a right-handed crop at the furlong marker and proved much the best under strong urging. AZIZAM (GB) settled on the inside, raced under snug restraint late on the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, was roused late on that bend and earned the place while no threat to the winner. LIFE IS GRAVY (IRE) was urged early then settled near the back, went around most of the turn in the two to three path, steadied and was shuffled back behind NAVY CHIEF as that foe retreated nearing the five-sixteenths pole, dropped to the rail late on the bend and improved for the show. SHANGRALA ROAD tracked the pace on the inside of foes, chased in the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and weakened. EXTRAORDINARY ONE (GB) settled off the pace, went around the turn in the three to four path, was asked in the vicinity of the five-sixteenths pole and lacked the needed response. LORD CHATHAM settled on the outside, was asked in the four then three path on the turn, chased into upper stretch and came up empty then drifted in around the sixteenth-pole. NAVY CHIEF (IRE) broke out and brushed the gate, was forwardly placed between horses, chased in the three path on the turn, retreated late on that bend and had nothing left. THE MARKINATER broke out and brushed the gate, settled off the pace, was asked in the four to five path on the turn, drifted inward near the furlong marker and failed to respond.
