Footnotes
CLASSIC COMMANDER broke a step slow, moved from the inside to the two path on the first turn, settled outside at the rear on the backstretch, was carried out inside the half-mile pole, went around the far turn in the four then five path, came into the stretch in the six path, rallied outside into the final furlong, closed fast into the final sixteenth then drifted in while getting to the leader and got up under good handling to prevail. BOURBONCENTRIC brushed the outside of the gate at the start, raced in the two path on the first turn, settled outside on the backstretch, was asked in the three then four path on the far turn, rallied to make a bid at the quarter-pole, came inward while narrowly in front in upper stretch, led into the final sixteenth but was caught while able to get the place. FRESH START broke out at the start, moved in while establishing a forward position early, prompted the pace on the outside in the two path, drew even with the leader on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the three path, was carried in at the three-sixteenths pole, battled with the runner-up under a drive into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while able to get the show. IMPERIAL ANTHEM went around the turns in the two to three path, came out to the five path into the stretch then moved further out and improved for the last spot in the superfecta. EMOTIONLYAVAILBLE was taken back before the first turn, tucked into the two path for the run around that bend, stalked outside on the backstretch, was given his cue in the two then three path on the far turn, chased in the four path into the stretch, pursued the leader in the drive and lacked the needed kick. LOBBYIST dropped back early, saved ground on the first turn, settled towards the rear, moved out inside the half-mile pole, went around the far turn in the three then four path, turned into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. ZIP FOR RICK saved ground on the first turn, settled off the pace, was roused in the two path on the far turn and lacked the needed response. THUNDERTAKER was hustled to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked under threat on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the two path then lost the advantage, checked while weakening near the three-sixteenths pole and gave way. STROBE LIGHT was taken in hand early then rated on the inside, saved ground through the far turn and came up empty.
