DEAR CHAIRMAN bumped with TREATY OBLIGATION at the start, went to the front then showed the way on the inside of an opponent, dropped from the two path to the inside on the turn, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole, extended the advantage under a strong hand-ride into the final furlong, was given one pop of a left-handed crop shortly thereafter then put back under a hand-ride to the finish while much the best. COUNTERSPY prompted the pace on the outside of the winner, vied in the three then two path on the turn, was given his cue late on that bend, remained on his inside lead until outside the furlong marker, swapped to the proper lead when given a pop of a left-handed crop at that juncture and proved no match while clear for the place. SHARP SPARK broke out at the start, stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the four then three path on the turn, was asked late on that bend, came out to the five path under a left-handed crop into upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but held the show. STURDY raced just off the pace on the inside, was asked on the turn, moved off the rail late on that bend, moved out to the three path before the three-sixteenths pole, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. APALTA veered out at the start and was off a step slow, angled in at the rear, raced inside to the two path early on the turn, moved to the three then four path late on that bend, turned into upper stretch in the six path and failed to threaten. TREATY OBLIGATION bumped with DEAR CHAIRMAN at the start, raced just off the pace, was asked in the two path on the turn then moved to the three path later on that bend, spun into upper stretch in the five path and came up empty. MAD BANKER settled off the pace, was urged along with six furlongs to run, went around the turn in the three then four path and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
