Footnotes
BATTER UP forwardly placed from the outset, advanced on the far turn, lodged a four wide stretch bid, reached the front under a drive and held COBBLESTONE BRIDGE safe in the late stages. The latter raced between foes early, remained in contention throughout, lacked room at the eighth pole, waited for an opening, found one, finished willingly and was gaining at the finish. MR IN PERSONAL chased along the inside, commenced a bid on the far turn, was swung five wide for the stretch run and rallied for a share. KY DO DECLARE outpaced while five wide, moved closer up the backstretch run and kept on in the stretch. SIR EXTON stalked the pacesetter, gained a narrow lead leaving the far turn and came up empty in the stretch. VICTORIOUS VANDA showed brief speed and lost his position on the far turn. SHEPHERD forced the pace, gained the lead at the five-eighths pole, was challenged on the far turn and dropped back in the stretch. PACIFIC STANDARD was hesitant at the start, outrun early and never reached contention.
