Footnotes
HALO MUSIC broke well and briefly dueled with BUY ME ANOTHER, left that rival behind past the half-mile pole, opened up late on the turn, repelled a challenge by KALATUA in upper stretch, and drew clear through the final furlong. KALATUA bobbled just after the start, tracked three-wide just off the pace, continued that path through the turn, made a try at HALO MUSIC in upper stretch but was turned back and had to settle for second. JACKIE PAPER settled in mid-pack early, finished with good interest but was never a threat to the top two. BUY ME ANOTHER broke on top and briefly dueled outside of HALO MUSIC, was unable to keep pace midway through the turn, then went evenly the rest of the way. PILOT'S CREED was a bit slow into stride, then moved up in range of the leaders before the turn, was boxed in and steadied in traffic near the seven-sixteenths marker, got an inside trip through the turn, but faltered in upper stretch. ASHRYVER broke well, then was unable to keep pace and was never a threat. GIFTED VALOR veered out after the break, dropped far behind and trailed throughout.
