ATHENS MOON saved ground around the first turn, led the way up the backstretch, continued around the far turn in the two path and held clear to the wire. NORTH ARM BAY raced in the three path early, stalked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, came around the second turn in the three path and chased the winner home in the stretch, the best of the rest. CAUGHT OFF GUARD raced in the two path around the first turn, settled off the pace for the run up the backstretch, navigated the far turn from the four path and made up some mild ground in the lane but was no match for the top two. HURRICANE CLOUD (GB) raced in the three path around the first turn, trailed the field up the backstretch, swung out to the five path coming off the far turn and drifted in the lane, never a threat. WELLSWORT (IRE) raced in the two path early, tracked the leader on the inside up the backstretch, dropped back while saving ground around the far turn and faded in the lane. SONIC SPEED raced in the four path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, navigated the second bend from the three path and was empty in the stretch.
