CHASING SHADOWS was never far back, raced inside, bid along the rail entering the stretch, got up past the eighth pole and drew off under steady urging. QUEEN ATLAS was away alertly, set the pace to mid stretch, was outclosed and no match late. MAKEMEBELIEVE pressed the pace, bid three wide entering the stretch, was within range, lacked a late response, hung late and held safely for show. MERLIN'S SISTER trailed the field in an inside trip.
