Footnotes
G DAWG rushed up to join STATE FORTY EIGHT on the lead early, dueled that one through the turn, then took command at the top of the stretch and drew clear. LEMON SOHN was outrun early despite initial coaxing from the rider, was under a ride with much to do early on the turn, started to run on as the field approached the stretch, was boxed in briefly before the furlong marker, and managed to just get up for the place while never a threat to the winner. STATE FORTY EIGHT flew from the gate to briefly establish a clear early lead, was joined to the outside by G DAWG at the half, dueled that one through the turn, surrendered the lead at the top of the stretch, tried to stay on but was outfinished. GABE'S CHOICE tracked close up three-wide, then faltered in the stretch while racing on the wrong lead.
