Footnotes
MIGHTY SAMURAI broke well, raced three deep early, stalked in close range in the four path on the turn, fanned into the five path into the lane, went to a brief drive midstretch, found his best into the final furlong, and drew away. FOUND THE SECRET was sent between horses to the lead, set the pace in the three path on the turn, was driven in the four path between horses into the lane, prove no match past the furlong marker and chased on second best. JACKFIRE settled at the rear of the main group well off the rest of that main pack, was pushed along in the two to three path on the turn, swung into the lane in the four path, drifted out under a drive in the lane, chased on mildly and passed a tiring horse for show. FLATTER THE FLAME was sent for speed inside, stalked the pace inside of MIGHTY SAMURAI after FOUND THE SECRET shook to the lead, saved ground around the turn while in close range, was urged for a bid inside those foes into the lane, but proved no match for the leading pair into the final furlong and weakened. LILAH'S MISCHIEF chased the leading trio on the backstretch and in the five path on the turn, swung into the lane in the seven path, lacked the needed response in upper stretch and weakened late. MARQ LOANTREE was reluctant to load, broke slowly and soon lost touch with the field, trailed around the turn, floated into the lane into the four path and proved no factor.
