FROSTY VIEW was placed on the lead, set the pace clear of SILENT RUNNER through the first turn and the backstretch, continued clear of the field in the two path on the far turn, went to a drive in upper stretch, carried a clear lead into the final furlong, was challenged in the final strides by fast-closing TONKA WARRIOR but held on. TONKA WARRIOR settled near the rear early inside of INNATELY GOOD, continued at the rear of the main field down the back straight, saved ground around the far turn, was briefly stymied behind a line of horses approaching the quarter pole, but swung five wide into the lane, responded under a drive, finished full of run and just missed. SILENT RUNNER tracked the pace set by FROSTY VIEW, continued in a tracking position in the three path on the far turn, chased inside of SUSHI MAN into the lane, proved no match for the pacesetter but outfinished SUSHI MAN to secure the show. SUSHI MAN tracked the leading pair while positioned three wide on the first turn, continued three wide down the back straight, was pushed along for a bid on the far turn while conditioned four wide, chased outside of SILENT RUNNER in the lane, but was outfinished. INNATELY GOOD settled near the rear two wide through the first turn and into the back straight, continued to chase three wide around the far turn, swung five wide into the lane, chased on mildly but lacked the needed late kick. DUAL MONARCHY chased two wide, raced between horses on the backstretch, continued two wide between horses on the far turn, was driven outside of ROCKIN HIS SOCKS OFF into the lane and had no rally. ROCKIN HIS SOX OFF chased midpack while saving ground, began to lose position around the far turn when other horses began their bids, and offered no rally when driven into the lane. SHANKAPOTAMUS soon trailed the field, was driven in the two to three path on the far turn, was urged in the lane as well but offered no rally.
