HEAVENLY CAPTIVE vied outside of HAY Y'ALL early, was relegated to track the pace approaching the half mile when NANCY'S SHAWL sent to the lead, tracked three wide between horses into the turn, bid outside NANCY'S SHAWL approaching the five sixteenths and took the lead, came inward in upper stretch, vied outside of HAY Y'ALL from the head of the stretch, and put that foe away in the final sixteenth. HAY Y'ALL vied inside of HEAVENLY CAPTIVE early on the lead, was relegated to track when NANCY'S SHAWL sent to the lead approaching the half-mile mark, was sent through a tight hole between NANCY'S SHAWL and the rail near the five sixteenths, vied inside of HEAVENLY CAPTIVE from the top of the stretch into the final furlong, but proved only second best in the final sixteenth. BL FORTY chased at the rear of a compact field down the backstretch, continued to chase in the two to three path on the turn, was driven inside foes for a rally in upper stretch, shifted out past the furlong mark to get a run on the leading pair, finished with interest but ultimately did not have enough to catch them. KIND KISMET raced between horses midpack in a compact field early, was shuffled back outside BL FORTY approaching the turn, was pushed along for a four-wide rally around the bend and responded, swung out to the center of the track and went to a drive in upper stretch, but could not sustain the bid down the lane. NANCY'S SHAWL broke outward, raced to the lead approaching the half, led two wide on the turn, was headed by HEAVENLY CAPTIVE near the five sixteenths, took up behind HEAVENLY CAPTIVE into upper stretch when that one came in though was already flattening out when that happened, and continued to weaken in the lane. TAPTOGO tracked the early pace three wide, began to weaken in the three to four path past the seven sixteenths, had nothing left when driven in upper stretch, and was allowed to trail home.
